Sometimes in travel memories, we hear from others that a three-star hotel in a certain country is like a five-star hotel in our country or vice versa. According to hotel theories, there are 30 different ways to grade hotels in the world.


The most well-known grading methods are the hotel star rating system that is used around the world. In domestic ratings, countries consider different criteria for valuing hotels. For example, in Germany, hotels are divided into several groups:

There are bathrooms and toilets in all rooms
Trained staff and laundry
Room service
Providing quality towels and soap to passengers

3 star hotels:


3 star hotels usually have a beautiful view, their services are complete and their facilities are more extensive than one and two star hotels. Every three-star hotel must meet these conditions:

Large and comfortable rooms
No noise, with enough light, living space with attractive decoration

In addition to providing full services to the passengers, the 4-star hotel should consider the ease and comfort of the guests. Employees must be trained, efficient and polite. The facilities of these hotels are diverse. But the conditions and services of a four-star hotel are as follows:

Ranking of hotels based on length of stay:
Transit Hotel: Guests usually stay in these hotels for one day and sometimes even less than one day, such as hotels around the airport.
Pension Hotel: Guests stay in these hotels for one month by signing a rental contract.
Half-board hotel: It has both features mentioned above. The guest can determine the duration of his stay.



Rating of hotels based on facilities:
Economic: these hotels have the minimum required accommodation and health facilities and do not have food and beverage service. In order to save money, these hotels use less staff and do not use bellboys and doormen.
Semi-economical: They are a combination of full-service hotels and economic hotels, which, despite saving money, have a beautiful appearance and are equipped with a dining hall and suitable services and facilities. In addition to economic rooms, these hotels also have well-equipped and quiet rooms and suites.
Full suite: All rooms in these hotels are suites and do not have single, double or triple rooms.
First class: luxury hotels with experienced staff and very good facilities that usually have luxury suites, two or three restaurants and a lounge with drinks and juices.
Luxury: These hotels, which are called luxury or double luxury, have the best standards in terms of efficiency, food and beverage service, and guest comfort.
